Wales World Cup honors appearance with a £1.5 Million Fund

Wales World Cup game after 64 years is just 100 days away. Hence, the Welsh Government has started a £1.5 million fund to celebrate and promote team’s appearance in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Team Wales is in Group B with Iran, USA and England. The economy minister Vaughan Gething has launched the fund. The government and fans of the team wants to celebrate their qualification in a unique way.

How is the fund helpful?

The fund will provide help to a number of organizations. Those who are involved in arts, sport, and the media for events honoring Wales. This could involve promoting Wales internationally, organizing youth sports events, establishing connections with Welsh emigrants.

Also the fund assists fans in celebrating the games both here in Wales and all over the world. The Welsh Government has a number of initiatives planned to make the most of the team exciting participation in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year.

Wales in FIFA World Cup 2022

On Sunday, November 20, the opening ceremony and Group A match between hosts Qatar and Ecuador will serve as the official start of the World Cup finals.
On November 22Wales will face the USA in their opening World Cup match at the Al Rayyan Stadium. The fans cannot wait to stream as the excitement grows for the country’s appearance in Qatar.
