Canada announces 25-player roster for CONCACAF FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

It was a tough decision for Canada to make, but they’ve named a roster without star player Alphonso Davies. The Vancouver Whitecaps FC player has been diagnosed with COVID19 – the country’s latest World Cup Qualifiers will go ahead as planned, though!

The central midfielder for St. Johnstone, David Wotherspoon, is also recovering from knee surgery. Apart from that, Canada is in great form heading into Concacaf’s final round of matches. They have secured the top spot with 16 points from eight games (4 wins, 0 draws).

They will look to continue their momentum when traveling abroad this coming week against Honduras on Sunday, Jan 27th, before hosting El Salvador two days later homecoming stadium.
